The world’s best athletes rely on KOMPERDELL
Since March 2012 KOMPERDELL welcomes a further excellent extreme mountaineer in the team. Hirotaka Takeuchi is the first Japanese having ascended all 14 8.000 m peaks. Therefore the father of two children, 40 years old last year, is Japan’s most successful mountaineer. Hirotaka executed many of his expeditions together with Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner and Ralf Dujmovits.
On 30th of September 2011, Hiro reached with his compatriot Nakajima the 8.188 m high peak of the Cho Oyu. It was Hiro’s 13th 8.000 m peak.
On the 26th of May 2012 Hirotaka conquered his last 8.000 m peak, the Dhaulagiri.
